PHOTO EXHIBITION
WITH SALE FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES
from April 17th 2025 at Clinica Sant'Anna in Sorengo
The project was born from the need of ATKYE for the Bambakofi Academy school in Gede, Kenya, to add new facilities in order to maintain its status and ensure education up to high school level. Indeed, the Kenyan government has introduced new regulations that the school must comply with.

To achieve this, the school requires
  1. a library
  2. a science laboratory
  3. new classrooms.

The sale of the photographs on display is therefore intended to finance these important new structures and ideally additional investments such as solar panels to cope with the frequent blackouts in the area.

The exhibition is dedicated to African elephants, the largest terrestrial mammals, known for their large ears and tusks.
Elephant families are matriarchal, led by the oldest female. They include related adult females, calves, and young males. The males leave the group at 12-15 years old, living alone or in bachelor groups. This structure protects, educates, and transmits crucial knowledge for survival.

Unfortunately, they are at risk of extinction due to poaching for ivory and the loss of their natural habitat.
